Ken Fischer has over 30 years of diverse senior level, general management, and financial experience. Chief Executive Officer, COO and CFO of several mid-cap companies. Significant experience in manufacturing, engineering, financial services, distribution, and not for profit organizations. Successful track record as point person in numerous strategic and complex financial transactions. Skilled in leading organizations in change including: acquisitions, divestitures, business integration and reorganizations.
In his current consulting practice, Ken provides part-time and interim CFO, general management, and special project services, including performance enhancement, valuation services, debt financing, and transition/exit planning. Representative clients include a 100% ESOP specialty engineering company, registered investment advisors, a high tech start-up and a mid-sized manufacturing company.
Ken has led three organizations as CEO/President including a foreign based North American holding company with multiple diverse operating units, a US operating subsidiary of a foreign multi-national, and an independent research institution affiliated with Harvard Medical School. He has also functioned as CFO and Treasurer of three other middle market organizations as well as a publicly traded start-up, and was an audit senior associate and Tax Manager at KPMG.
Ken is a CPA/ABV, CPA with Accreditation in Business Valuations, CGMA, Certified Global Management Accountant, and CEPA, Certified Exit Planning Advisor. He holds a MBA from Babson College, a Masters in Taxation from Bentley University, and a BA from Providence College. He also attended the Advance Management Program at Harvard Business School and has a Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University. Ken is on the leadership board of the Boston Exit Planning Consortium, a Trustee on the Advisory Board of Massachusetts Eye and Ear and a Trustee and Chairman of the Finance Committee for Executive Service Corps of New England.
